List of Padma Shri award winners announced 2021?

On the day of Republic, the honors & awards are given to the citizens of India for their contributions to nations. The Padma Awards are one of the highest civilian honors of India announced annually on the eve of Republic Day. The awardee’s name is shortlisted & announced by the Prime Minister of India. Even the nomination process is open to the public. Even you can make the self-nomination. The awards are also been for some of the Foreigners for their extraordinary works for the nations.

Padma Awards were instituted in the year 1954, is announced every year on the occasion of Republic Day except for brief interruptions during the years 1978 and 1979 and 1993 to 1997. The Awards are distributed in the three categories, namely:

All persons are eligible for these awards without any discrimination of race, gender, occupation, or position. However, Government servants like working in the PSUs, except doctors & scientists are not eligible for the awards. The award will recognize their dedication to their field.   • Science & Engineering (includes Space Engineering, Nuclear Science, Information Technology, Research & Development in Science, etc.)

  • Trade & Industry (includes Banking, Economic Activities, Management, Promotion of Tourism, Business, etc.)

  • Medicine (includes medical research, distinction/specialization in Ayurveda, Homeopathy, etc.)

  • Literature & Education (includes Journalism, Teaching, Book composing, Literature, Poetry, Promotion of education, Promotion of literacy, Education Reforms, etc.)

  • Civil Service (includes distinction/excellence in administration etc. by Government Servants)

  • Sports (includes popular Sports, Athletics, Adventure, Mountaineering, promotion of sports, Yoga, etc.)

  • Other (fields not covered above and may include propagation of Indian Culture, protection of Human Rights, Wild Life protection/conservation, etc.)
